December 15, 1942 - September 28, 2023

 

 

Vonda Fitzhugh Watson, 80 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away peacefully on

Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.

 

 

Vonda was born December 15, 1942,in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Aessly

Herman Fitzhugh and Viola (Van Horn) Fitzhugh. She was a homemaker and a

member of Greer's Chapel United Methodist Church. During tax season she was

the secretary for Robert L. Edstrom CPA for 20 years.

 

 

Vonda is preceded in death by her parents; brothers in law, Bruce Watson and

Rodney Andrews; and a nephew Keith Andrews. She is survived by her husband

of 61 years, Jim Watson; two sons, David and Karen Watson and Glenn and

Christy Watson all of Magnolia; grandchildren, Tyler and Jessie Watson, Alex

and Morgan Watson, Courtney Watson, Kaitlyn Watson, and Emma Watson;

great grandchildren, Jack Watson, Max Watson, and Rhett Watson; a sister Ann

and Gary Morrison; two sisters-in-law, Judy Andrews and Penny Watson; and a

host of extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Greer's

Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Rushing officiating with burial

to follow at Greer's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral

Home, Inc. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00

 

 

pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Greer's Chapel United

Methodist Church, 880 Columbia Road 47, Magnolia, Arkansas 71753.

 

 

The pallbearers will be Alex Watson, Tyler Watson, Brandon Watson, Hunter

Holt, Tanner McLelland, and Kyle Andrews.
