October 7, 1938 - March 30, 2026
Tommy Ray Smith, 87 of Magnolia,
Arkansas passed away peacefully on
Monday, March 30, 2026, at The Villa at
Texarkana, Texas.
Tommy was born October 7, 1938, in El
Dorado, Arkansas. Tommy was a
faithful and active member of Immanuel Baptist
Church and enjoyed
camping and fishing and was a member of the
Derrick City Sams Chapter
for 20 years. He retired from Albemarle after
29 years and was a known
handyman.
Tommy is preceded in death by his
parents Aylmer Newton Smith and
Rudell Ethel (Snodgrass) Smith; two brothers,
Don Earl Smith and Dennis
Newton Smith; and a son in law Bobby Burnett.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 66
years, Vona Beth (Murphy) Smith; two
daughters, Donna Ludwig and Beverly Burnett;
grandsons, Blake Burnett
and wife Melissa and John Ludwig and wife
Morgan; great grandsons,
Bryan Burnett and Lexi and Ryan Burnett and
Vivian; and great great
grandchildren, Drayton Burnett, Charlie-Kate
Burnett, and Laniey Beth
Ann Burnett who will arrive in April, all of
Magnolia, Arkansas; brother
Clifford Smith and wife Sandra; sisters, Aylma
Williamson and husband
Jim and LaJuan Miller and husband Butch all of
El Dorado, Arkansas;
sister in law Virginia Mulligan; and a host of
nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday,
April 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at
Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Bo Stevens
and Chaplain Scott
Redden officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral
Home, Inc. Burial
will follow at Magnolia City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be
Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the
funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the M
& M Senior Group at
Immanuel Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Blake Burnett, John
Ludwig, Bryan Burnett, Ryan
Burnett, Whitney Smith, and Dennis Vines.
The family would like to thank Chaplain
Scott Redden, April Springs, and
all the CNA s and staff at The Villa at
Texarkana and Dierksen Hospice for
the care, comfort and support given to Tommy
and his family.
Though He's gone, He is not forgotten.
Though absent, He remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, He now rest.
