Sue Ann Goodwin of Hot Springs, 69, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009.
She was born February 3, 1940 in Hot Springs, Ar. to the late Bert and Bessie Dickson.
Sue was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Paul Buzz Goodwin of Hot Springs;
two daughters and son in law, Leah and Ron Peters of Gig Harbor, Washington and Phyllis Johnson of Arkadelphia;
one sister, Ellen Bratton of Arkadelphia; one brother, Charles Dickson of Houston, Texas;
grandchildren, Ronson and Coral Peters, Whitney Ruff of Little Rock, Shelby and Mason Gills of Fayetteville.
Sue was a retired English teacher from Lakeside High School and earned her Masters Degree from Henderson State University.
Sue and Buzz enjoyed traveling with the Good Sams Club, and during their retired years traveled all over the United States.
Sue supported the Arkansas Arthritis Society and the Relay for Life.
She spent many great years as an Extra Ham Radio Operator and was active in the Hot Springs Home Extension Group.
Visitation was Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
Graveside services was held Friday, July 24, 2009 at Memorial Gardens.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kirk Flanakin, Charlie Evans, George Callahan, Tommy Jordan, Lou Siegel, Ron Peters,
Tommy Ferrell, Mac McDowell, Peggy Barnett and members of her Home Extension Club and members of the Good Sam Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Though Sue is gone, She is not forgotten.
Though absent, She remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, She now rest.
