in remembrance of Richard Patzer


Richard Patzer

 

October 27, 1937 - January 23, 2020

 

Richard Patzer, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., died unexpectedly Thursday,

Jan. 23, 2020, while on vacation in Florida.He was preceded in death

by his parents, Arthur and Esther Patzer; and brother, Bruce Patzer.

 

He is survived by his wife Wanda of 52 years; sons, Joel (Kendra)

of Janesville, Wis., Jason (wife, Brianne) of Neenah, Wis.; and grandchildren,

Quin, Sage, Jack, and Sullivan. He is further survived by beloved sisters

and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

 

Richard grew up in Wauwatosa, Wis., graduated high school there,

then served three years in the U.S. Navy. Subsequently, he received a

Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll College, and later advanced

credits at Marquette University. Dick taught in Milwaukee public schools

for 30 years. He and Wanda moved to Bella Vista in 2005. They returned

to Wisconsin each summer to enjoy life at Fountain Lake RV Park and

precious time with family and friends. Dick served as president of the

board there, and was also responsible for the formation of the Wisconsin

chapter of the National Escapees Organization. The Patzer's traveled widely

in their motor home and on many cruises. They love Bella Vista, their many

friendships, golf and card games.

 

A memorial service for Richard will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020,

at 1 p.m. at the Bella Vista Community Church.



Though He's gone, He is not forgotten.
Though absent, He remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, He now rest.
