Patrick L. Hoyt
(March 17, 1935 - October 15, 2015)

Patrick L. Hoyt, former Cozad resident, passed away October 15, 2015 at
Tulsa, Oklahoma as the result of an automobile accident at the age of 80.

Patrick was born March 17, 1935 at Milbank, South Dakota to Lynn and Doris
(Sauter) Hoyt. Pat attended school in Cozad, Nebraska and graduated with
the class of 1953. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and
played football for Nebraska for one year. Pat graduated from Kearney State
College.

Pat married Joanne Manners on November 20, 1956 at the Presbyterian Church
in Cozad, Nebraska. Pat worked as an Oil Jobber for Phillips 66.

In 1965 he partnered with John Miller as owner and operator of Neska Oil Corp
in Pender, Nebraska. He eventually purchased Johns part of the business and
became soul owner and partnered with his wife Joanne. They both ran the store,
shop, and office. They were workaholics. They worked day and night and even
through the holidays.

The couple retired in 2012 and moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Pat was a member of the Masons in Pender, Nebraska. He enjoyed fishing, camping,
golfing and traveling abroad. Patrick & Joanne Hoyt were Members of The Bella Vista
Traveling Sams. Pat and Jo joined the Bella Vista Traveling Sams Aug 8, 2013.

Patrick L & Joanne M Hoyt were in a car wreck Oct. 13, 2015 in Bella Vista, AR.
He was also a Deacon and active in the Presbyterian Church. Pat is preceded in death
by his parents; his wife Joanne, and sister, Joyce Metzger.

Survivors include his son, Brook (Michelle) Hoyt of Bay City, TX; his daughter,
Amy Hoyt-Whiteley of Omaha; grandchildren, Ashley (David) Hoyt-Schild,
Brianna Hoyt, Kelsey Marie Whiteley and Santana LeAn Whiteley; sisters, Eileen (Frank)
Zlatkovsky and Barbara (George) Golden.

Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Children's Home Society or to the donor's
choice.

A memorial service was be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Presbyterian Church in Cozad with Pastor David Boyd officiating. Inurnment
will be at the Cozad Cemetery.

Those who signed the memorial book did so on Friday, at Berryman Funeral Home,
which was in charge of arrangements.
