Laverne Lowery Bowden, 82, of Smackover, AR passed away

Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the John R. Williamson Hospice

House in El Dorado, AR.


Laverne was born August 15, 1938 in Stephens, AR to John P.

Lowery and Annie Mae Smith Lowery.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Isaiah

Hale Bowden, three sisters, Gladys Spain, Barbara Parks, Janet

Carter, one brother, Preston Lowery

.

Survivors include her two sons, Mark Bowden and wife Candy, and

Chris Bowden and wife Donna, two sisters, Jane Spruill and Judy

Corley and husband David, one brother, John Lowery and wife

Donna, two sisters-in-law, Ellen Lowery and Sally Adams, eight

grandchildren, Kyle Bowden and wife Pam, Misti Neal and husband

Wesley, Kalyn Clark and Logan, Ashley Jones and husband

Jeremy, Anthony Davis and wife Samantha, Amber Barnes, Paige

Kemp and husband Greg, and Brandon Dearing, great

grandchildren, Samuel Isaiah Bowden, Kai Liam Neal, Austin, Sierra,

Braden, Cameron, Trace, Preston, Kaylee, Aria, Julia, and Eason,

her running buddies, Frances Talley, Martha Neal, Mildred

Holloway, and Nancy Jackson.

 

Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2021, 1:00 p.m. until services

at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31,

2021 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Carly Davis

officiating. Interment to follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral

Home of El Dorado, AR

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Corley, Scott Lowery, Jake

Roberson and Wesley Neal.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to First Baptist Church,

Smackover, AR.
