- in remembrance of Joann West -


JoAnn C. West, age 70, of Carlisle, died Feb. 23, 2011. She was retired from
the Veterans Administration and had worked for the Air Force in Little Rock
and North Little Rock.

Harold, her best friend and husband of 52 years, survives, as well as her daughter
Melinda Rone of Batesville, and her grandchildren Weston Dean and Teighlor Dean
and sister Nancy Langley of Heber Springs.

JoAnn was an award winning artist and established West Art Glass Studio.
Posted on her website westartglass.synthasite.com she stated
"Love of the arts run very deep in my family, with all members either have been artists
or having worked to create items of beauty". She had customers world wide
and was known for her original designs.

She was a member of the Good Sam Mallards of Stuttgart chapter.

Funeral services were held on Feb.26, 2011 with burial in the Carlisle Cemetery.
