Died: February 2, 2019

Jo Ann Lewis, 83, of Magnolia died Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Wentworth Place in Magnolia.

Jo Ann was born May 14, 1935 in Columbia County. She was a member of the Antioch East Baptist Church,

Gideons Auxiliary, and the Dorcheat Sams Chapter of the Good Sams Club. She loved going to gospel singing and camping.

 

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Isiah and Lois Elizabeth (Andrews) Dodson; husband, Charlie Lewis; and son-in-law, John Leslie Jr.


She is survived by her children, Mary Blalock and husband David of Forney, TX, Gary Lewis and wife Cindy of Magnolia,

and Donna Leslie of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Jobson and husband Kyle of Kaufman, TX, Khaila Melson and husband Jacob of Stephens,

Jody Leslie and wife Amy of Pea Ridge, Bradley Leslie and wife Alexandra of Fenton, MO, and Mitchell Lewis of Magnolia;

great grandchildren, Caleb and Zachary Jobson of Kaufman, TX, Taylin, Ainslee, Colton, and Bailey of Stephens, Jensen Leslie of Fenton, MO,

 Charlie Leslie of Pea Ridge; siblings, Nancy Lamb, Robert “Sonny” Dodson and wife Brenda, David Dodson and wife Sarah,

Laura Jones and husband Michael; and special roommate Alma Stringer.

 

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 4 at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 5 at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Ron Owen officiating.

 

Pallbearers will be Jody Leslie, Brad Leslie, Kyle Jobson, Mitch Lewis, Jacob Melson and Brett Dodson.

 

The family wishes to say thanks to Dr. John E. Alexander Jr., the staff at Wentworth Place, and the staff at Life Touch Hospice.
