Glenda Darden Fite
August 3, 1933 - March 22, 2013
Glenda Darden Fite, 79, of El Dorado, passed away Friday, March 22
at the John R. Williamson Hospice House after a lengthy illness.
She was born August 3, 1933 to Winnie D. Hulsey and Wallace Glen Darden.
She was a retired teacher in the Mt. Holly public schools. She was a member
of the Midway Baptist Church where she was active in many areas especially
with the youth groups. She and her husband were active members of the
Derrick City Sam's camping group. She loved to cook, paint, work in her yard
and was an excellent cake decorator. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Terri Tennyson.
She is survived by her husband of 57, years, Lynn J. Fite of El Dorado;
Son Jody Fite and wife Julie of El Dorado;
Brother Wallace Darden and wife Cheryl of El Dorado of El Dorado;
Grandchildren Jesse, Jackson and Jace Fite and Tess Tennyson, all of El Dorado,
Who affectionately called her Gigi and son-in-law Drew Tennyson of El Dorado.
Glenda's funeral service will be held Monday, March 25 at 10:00 am in Young's
Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. James Coward and Rev. Bruce Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 24 from 5-7 pm at Young's.
