Age 87

Frank Emerson McElwee the son of Frank William McElwee and Minnie Emerson
Conwell McElwee was born in Nimrod, Arkansas on March 29, 1928 and passed
away at his home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on November 26, 2015 at the
age of 87 years.

Frank was a retired executive with the Bell Telephone system where he
worked in New Mexico, New Jersey, and Colorado before retiring in Arkansas.
His religious belief was protestant and he studied engineering while in college.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and everything outdoors. Frank was an
avid bowler and a lifetime member of Good Sams Club and also a member of
the local Sugar Loaf Sams Club.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Texas and
was past commander of the American Legion Post 64 of Heber Springs and
a lifetime member and a member of the VFW.

Frank was raised by his uncle Sam McElwee after his father Frank William
McElwee passed away. He was also preceded in death by his mother Minnie
Emerson McElwee, his first wife Mary Louise Brown McElwee, a sister
Frances (Kate) Peterson and is survived by her husband Roy Peterson,
preceded by a brother Thomas Conwell McElwee, an infant son Frank James
McElwee and a step Grandson Christopher Michael Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Louise Rochelle Jennings McElwee of Heber
Springs, a son Charles Lewis McElwee and wife Susan of Albuquerque,
New Mexico, a daughter Susan K. Burritt and Husband Mark of Jemez
Springs, New Mexico, a step daughter Therese Ann Johnson of Tampa
Florida, 3 grandchildren Patrick Ian McElwee, Daniel Jay McElwee and
Rosemary Roxanne Burritt, cousins Gelora June Garland and husband Greg,
Gueneeh Jean Dierks and husband Tom and Billy Sam McElwee and wife
Wanda besides other relatives and many friends.

On Nov. 26, 2015, Frank McElwee, age 87yrs old, passed away at his home in
Heber Springs, Arkansas.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at Dwight Family
Funeral Home, 100 West Searcy Street, Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday Dec. 2, 2015 at Dwight Family
Funeral Home.
Internment will be at Nimrod Cemetery, Perryville, Arkansas. Following
internment volunteers of the Nimrod community will serve food at Old
Community Bldg next to the Firestation.

On Monday November 30, 2015 members of Sugarloaf Sam's are to take
food to the McElwees home for the family.
