in remembrance of Felix S. Paterek
Felix S. Paterek
1937
- 2019
On August 20th 2019 Dr. Felix S. Paterek left this earthly plain in pursuit of greater
adventures.
Dr. Paterek
was born in Buffalo, New York on March 9th 1937. He enlisted in the army in
1957 and became an S4-E-4 Specialist. While in
the Army he met the love of his life,
Elizabeth (Betty) Georgia
Hodges Paterek. He had a life filled with
travel and adventure
that he shared with his wife of 60 years.
When he returned from his assignment
in the Army he courted and married Betty
Hodges on October 17, 1959, of whom he spent
the rest of his life showing how much
he loved her. Felix retired from the
Army in December of 1962.
Felix became a chiropractor and was
the president of the Arkansas Chiropractic
Association for 5
years running. He
went to Italy and worked as a Chiropractor in Italy
with his
brother-in-law and then returned to the States after a few years and opened his
own Chiropractic
practice in North Little Rock. Opportunity came knocking again and
Felix and Betty left and went back to
Italy and where he practiced 7 years in Europe.
During which time Felix and Betty traveled to
and lived in Italy, Germany, England,
France, and Ireland. Needless to say this man
touched many lives he was deeply loved
and will be missed
greatly.
He is survived by his wife Betty and
their children; Scott F. Paterek, Mary G. Smiley,
Robert Books, and
Connie Shaw. He Has several grandchildren; Daniel
Smiley, Kyle
Smiley, Kathryn Smiley, Laura Moore,
Jaren Books, Jennifer Shaw, Yvonne Shaw, and
Christopher Shaw.
Though He's gone, He is not forgotten.
Though absent, He remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, He now rests.
