- in remembrance of Dale G. Wylie

Mr. Dale George Wylie, age 77, gained his heavenly wings at his home

in Hope, Arkansas on December 4, 2018.

He was born on May 12, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to Arch and Ruth Hershberger Wylie.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

 

Dale was a veteran of Vietnam, flying helicopters in 1963-1966 for the US Army.

After he returned home, he flew to offshore oil rigs for P.H.I. Helicopters in La.,

the Army National Guard Aviation unit in Little Rock, Arkansas, and

Air Life Medical Helicopters for St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

After retiring from Air Life, he was a cell phone technician for Verizon Inc.

He loved duck hunting, fishing, RVing, and drinking coffee with his coffee group every morning.

He loved people and was loved by many. He loved the Lord and Gospel music,

especially the Gaither Vocal Band.

 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Ann Cox Wylie, son Alan and Deanne Wylie of Springfield, MO,

and daughter Cindy and Clifton Durham of Gainesville, TX. The grandchildren are Taylor and Erin Wylie,

Jordan and Kaitlyn Wylie, and Michael and Emerald Williamson, all of Missouri.

He is also survived by his sister Ruth Ann and James Hairston,

brother Birkett and Barbara Wylie of Hope, AR, and many cousins and close friends.

 

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 6, 2018

at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main St. Hope, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 7, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home

with Bro. James Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Prescott, Arkansas.

Arrangements are with BRAZZEL/Oakcrest the Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
