Robert Eugene Whitley, Sr.
December 26, 1933 - December 05, 2017
Robert Eugene Whitley Sr., age 83, of Benton; passed away Tuesday,
December 5, 2017. He was born December 26, 1933 in Little Rock, Arkansas
to the late Houston Edward Whitley and Eva Belle Whitley. Robert served
in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Alcoa. He
was a member of Mid-Towne Church and the Thundering Sams.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Whitley; son, Robert E. Whitley Jr. (Dusty);
two daughters, Jeanne Covert and Sheri Lane; brother, Johnny Whitley;
seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 8 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9 at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery.
