December 6, 1925 - December 31, 2013
William Augustus Kennedy, 88, of Austin, Arkansas, passed away at his home in Austin,
Arkansas on December 31, 2013. He was born December 6, 1925 in Abilene, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; three sisters; his wife and the
mother of his children, Mary Elva Kennedy; and his wife, Marie Babrick Kennedy. He is
survived by his three children, Mark (Anita) Kennedy of Houston, Missouri, LeVonna (Tony)
Uekman of Quitman, Arkansas and Cindy Neal of Austin, Arkansas. He is also survived by
six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Annett Pagan; caregiver, Dale
Brown; grand-dog, Lacy, and many more family and friends.

He was a WWII veteran and a retired registered nurse at the VA Hospital. He enjoyed
traveling and was an active member of La Petite Roche Good Sam Traveling Club. He
enjoyed playing cards, winning many "Skip-Bo" tournaments and also playing dominos at
Faith Methodist Church. One of the things he looked forward to each year was hosting the
annual sunrise service at his lake for the past 50 years. He was active in Mt. Tabor, Faith,
and Bethlehem Methodist Churches.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 2, from 6:00-8:00 P.M., at Moore's Funeral Home,
700 N. 2nd Street, Cabot, Arkansas (501-843-5816). Funeral service will be held Friday,
January 3, at 11:00 A.M. at Moore's Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sylvania
Cemetery, located east of Cabot on Hwy 321.

Bill was a long time member of the La Petite Roche Sams an RV Club, and will be greatly missedby all.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 9820 W.
Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205.
