in remembrance of Mary Ann Scott



Mary Ann (Dean) Scott

July 11, 1943 - November 12, 2021


Mary Ann (Dean) Scott of North Little Rock went to be with her Lord on November 12, 2021, at

the age of 78. She was born July 11, 1943, in England, Arkansas to the late Cromwell and Lois

(Nipps) Dean. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two

years, Robert Earnest Scott in 2015. Ann retired after many years of working as the Fiscal

Officer for the Arkansas State Senate. Upon retirement, she lived out her dream of traveling the

USA with her husband, Bob, and their beloved dogs in their motorhome. She was a longtime

and active member of North View Missionary Baptist Church, volunteered at Baptist Medical

Center in North Little Rock and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Sherwood Senior

Citizens Center. She loved her family dearly and cherished their time together. She was always

known for her strong faith, giving nature and loving heart. Her gentle spirit, warmth and true

compassion will be greatly missed and never replicated.


Survivors include her children Rob Scott and wife Carol of Conway, LeJan Jones and husband

Mark of North Little Rock, grandchildren, Hunter (Morgan) Scott, Blaklee Scott, Dalton Jones,

Brody Jones and Caden Jones. Other survivors include her brothers, Jimmy Dean and wife

Marion of England and Ronny Dean and wife Patsy of Stuttgart along with several nieces,

nephews and a host of other family and friends.


Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Friday, November 19, 2021, at North View Missionary

Baptist Church in North Little Rock with Pastor Mike Cantrell officiating. Mrs. Scott will be laid to

rest next to her husband at Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas following the service.


Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Smith North

Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114. In lieu of

flowers, memorials may be made to North View Missionary Baptist Church or the Humane

Society of Pulaski County.
